Re: RAM
I would look around online, or even the LEM swap, probably get better results there for buying old RAM at good prices. -Elliott On Aug 21, 2009, at 11:37 AM, Sam Stone wrote: > OK lets do this for the I zillionth time. > I need to prove a little point to a NON-BELIEVER and so > I shall call on the CULT OF THE IMAC (that would be US) > to asist. > Said non-Believer and (shudder) PC user needs to be shown that YES! > indeed you can take > an old 333 or thereabouts and cast the Imac Spell to create a FULLY > FUNCTIONAL > machine that works exceptionally well for Seniors or Whatever. > AND it can be accomplished for next to nothing (a favorite with > Seniors). > I have several of these machines around BUT I need enough RAM to do > the OSX thing. > I know how to do the rest. > Or if you even happen to have an older model around all ready to > go..might consider that > as well. > I have lots of stuff to trade including PC IBM Laptop parts (I do > have some weak moments). > Any and all help is appreciated. > I travel between Owen Sound/Walkeron area to Toronto quite a bit. > Thanks > Mark > P.S. RAM
OK lets do this for the I zillionth time. I need to prove a little point to a NON-BELIEVER and so I shall call on the CULT OF THE IMAC (that would be US) to asist. Said non-Believer and (shudder) PC user needs to be shown that YES! indeed you can take an old 333 or thereabouts and cast the Imac Spell to create a FULLY FUNCTIONAL machine that works exceptionally well for Seniors or Whatever. AND it can be accomplished for next to nothing (a favorite with Seniors). I have several of these machines around BUT I need enough RAM to do the OSX thing. I know how to do the rest. Or if you even happen to have an older model around all ready to go..might consider that as well. I have lots of stuff to trade including PC IBM Laptop parts (I do have some weak moments). Any and all help is appreciated. I travel between Owen Sound/Walkeron area to Toronto quite a bit. Thanks Mark P.S. Along with a million other things iI have 2 of those REALLY nice huge Monitors that came with the 333 Towers. I also have a fully functional Newton --~--~-~--~~~---~--~~ You received this message because you are subscribed to Low End Mac's iMac List, a group for those using G3, G4, G5, and Intel Core iMacs as well as Apple eMacs. What OCR for Intel iMac?
What OCR software packages are there which run well on OS X 10.5 Leopard? Any favorites? I've seen references to Omnipage Pro X for Macintosh and Readiris as independent packages, and even OCR capability in Vuescan and Adobe Reader.
