Re: Where to get capacitors
Check out digi key at 1 800 344 4539 (800 digikey) after the person ans ask for tech support. Great group, most helpful. The five that were bad were the only 5 that were different, the 1000uf/16v ones. Now, I would like to find out where to get five capacitors like this, and not a whole set of iMac replacements. I've looked around online, and done a lot of googling, but there's just so many different components, and suppliers, none of which really specify all the information that I need. (Are they motherboard quality, low ESR, high temp, etc.) None of the local stores have anything in the right specs, in the right size. If someone could point me in the right direction, or a good online supplier, that would be great. CS3 will be alright in 10.5, CS2 will break, Quark 7—don’t know, Freehand—don’t know. I recently picked up a 1TB LaCie FW400/800/USB/ESATA HD for 79 GB pounds from Cancom. All the stuff I transferred from my old G5 isight to the new 27 inch iMac work including Quark and Freehand 10 more importantly Call of duty United Offensive still works probably runs under rossetta. (died at 4 years old all of the caps had been replaced before shipment from Apple you can tell the board has been re-worked Idid try replacing the blown 1 with parts from RS but gave up and stumped up for the 27 inch iMac just around Christmas was a bit concerned with all the reports of dodgy screens and Flash problems but so far no problems of note. There is a strange anomally in that my Harmon Kardon sound sticks do not work when plugged directly into the iMac but work fine if I use an extension audio lead.) Re: IC2 register test failed
Not a clue what on an iMac G5 this should mean, but normally I2C bus is used for peripherals control (say, temperature readings, etc) and should NOT affect/confused with the data and address buses. If the G5 is otherwise working as intended, disregard the error. Regards, Naftali On Sat, Jun 5, 2010 at 11:10, Jason Trunzo jasontru...@gmail.com wrote: Does anybody know what this means?
