G3 keyboard on G4?
I much prefer the compact keyboard that shipped with early imac G3 models and am continuing to use it with my G4 imac. So far the only solution I've found for opening the cd-rom tray is to always leave a cd in it. Then I can just do command E to eject and switch as necessary. Occasionally I do forget, and it is a pain to get out the proper keyboard to open the cd tray. Is there another way I don't know about to open an empty cd-tray on my G4? Maybe a key combination I've forgotten? Note, in 10.4 and later you have to hold the key down for several seconds to get it to eject, since a simple keypress activated Dashboard. -- Bruce Johnson University of Arizona College of Pharmacy Information Technology Group Institutions do not have opinions, merely customs --~--~-~--~~~---~--~~ You received this message because you are subscribed to Low End Mac's iMac List, a group for those using G3, G4, G5, and Intel Core iMacs as well as Apple eMacs.
