I have a G5 20

2013-07-15 Thread Stuart
I have a G5 20 - just recovered from bad caps, now need to use it as a
printer driver. Running 10.5.8, but would not connect to WIFI - would see
wifi, but refused to connect. Tried to update system (installing 10.5.6 by
archive install) but on restart there is no archive. Startup disk only
shows new system!

Anyone know how to go back? (Esp as still cannot connect to WiFi! ;-(

TIA,
Stuart.

Replacing your OS for this is like replacing your car's engine because the tire
is flat.

If the Wifi shows up in the list of available networks, delete your network
preferences /Library/Preferences/SYstem Preferences (IIRC, I don't have a 10.5
system in front of me.) and try again.
