Not sure exactly what you mean…

If you want to show your iPad screen on your Mac or PC, you can use Reflection 
app for Mac or PC (http://www.reflectionapp.com). This only works for iPad 2 or 
new iPad, and iPhone 4S. No jailbreak required.

If you want to mirror the iPad to any HDMI-equipped device (TV, Projector, 
computer monitor), you can use the Apple TV.

The feature is known as AirPlay mirroring and all gadgets have to be on same 
wifi network for it to work. AirPlay mirroring is only for mirroring. 



If you want to control the iPad while sitting at your Mac or PC, you need to 
jailbreak and install a VNC server as described here: 
http://lifehacker.com/5780908/how-to-install-a-vnc-server-on-your-jailbroken-ios-device

The customer is having the iPad on one location and his client is sitting 
somewhere else. 

He wants his iPad to be mirrored on his client's pc (could be mac or windows)
