[efloraofindia:196942] Gardenia (Rubiaceae)
Dear members, I have updated eFI (efloraofindia) page on Gardenia https://sites.google.com/site/efloraofindia/species/m---z/r/rubiaceae/gardenia (Pl. click). Attempts have been made to incorporate most of the species available in India nearby areas with details keys directly or through links as far as possible. It’s quite possible that there may be some discrepancy in the accepted names synonyms taken from other links. Species discussed so far in efloraofindia are given at the bottom of the page in the form of links against Subpages. On clicking them one can see all the details. If someone can provide complete list of Indian species with source references it will be wonderful. Any comments/ corrections are welcome. -- With regards, J.M.Garg 'Creating awareness of Indian Flora Fauna' http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/User:Jmgarg1 The whole world uses my Image Resource http://commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/Category:J.M.Garg of more than a thousand species eight thousand images of Birds, Butterflies, Plants etc. (arranged alphabetically place-wise). [efloraofindia:196963] Maharanga (Boraginaceae)
Dear members, I have updated eFI (efloraofindia) page on Maharanga https://sites.google.com/site/efloraofindia/species/a---l/b/boraginaceae/maharanga (Pl. Re: [efloraofindia:197012] Flora of Munnar :: FOR ID :: Trichosanthes ¿ costata / tricuspidata / ? :: DV01AUG
Thank you very much Gurcharan ji for ruling out T. costata. The fruits of the posted plant are almost same as *T. tricuspidata*. The flowers of *T. tricuspidata* that I have seen in earlier sightings have always appeared to look dishevelled unlike the prettier *T. cucumerina*. Here in the posted photos, the flowers appear to be much larger version of *T. cucumerina*. The leaves too seem to be not deeply lobed ... thus not confident whether *T. tricuspidata*. Regards. Re: [efloraofindia:197050] Hooghly : Polygonum serrulatum Lagasc. ; Boiss . Fl. Orient. iv. 1028? (FBI.v.38) ?
The ID is wrong. A doc can be found on Indian species - http://www.cibtech.org/J%20Plant%20Sciences/PUBLICATIONS/2014/Vol-3-No-2/JPS-018-013-SRIVASTAVA-FAMILY-INDIA.pdf There is no *Polygonum serrulatum* Lagasc. in India, instead it is non Lag., synonym of *Polygonum longisetum* deBruyn and I am not sure if my plant or those of eFI can be same. It is getting very very complicated. Thank you Regards On Thu, Aug 14, 2014 at 5:28 PM, J.M. Garg jmga...@gmail.com wrote: Forwarding again for Id confirmation or otherwise please.
