[efloraofindia:213618] Re: Cuscuta ID request - 09012015PC1

2015-01-21 Thread surajitkoley
Madam,

I Haven't received your mail yesterday, instead replying in the group site
directly. This is getting complicated. Please check my thread, I have
uploaded a little while ago -
https://groups.google.com/d/msg/indiantreepix/4juCgPJGMN8/YHpA9ZMONDEJ.

I think your species look similar to mine.

Your species doesn't look like *C. hyalina*, for flowers should have
acuminate to caudate petals and acute to acuminate sepals. Please check-
http://www.plantillustrations.org/illustration.php?id_illustration=130459
http://www.ispotnature.org/node/535679

Picture of seeds of *hyalina* can be found at -

Thank you

Dear friends,
Please validate this *Strobilanthes*, whether *S. heyneanus*. Had seen
similar plant at Kattalekan, Uttara Kannada.
The plants were growing in damp soil. There was a stream about 100 ft away.

Sad to know the sudden demise of Prof. Reveal. He was a leading taxonomist
of the world and have left a big void behind him in the community.
