Dear all, I am very happy to find this group on net. My main objective to learn more than to tell something new. I have been trying to identify this shrub for a long while. It used to be in abundance near my native place at Manegaon, Dist: Buldhana <http://g.co/maps/a9zw5>, Maharashtra. The photos are taken in flowering season, May 2011. The fruits are berry-like and contain many seeds. I've heard people make pickle of the fruits, but never seen someone actually making it (local people don't make pickle). Fruits turn pinkish after ripening. The taste somewhat "tikha" plus sweet. Can someone identify this? Is any additional information needed?
