Usha ji, It is a very large tree with a trunk diameter in excess of 1.5 m growing to a height of more than 25 m.I have not seen a natural stand.It was planted by the Forest Dept. in the mid eighties to nineties in Tumkur Dist,Karnataka. Recently the FD has given up raising them in the nurseries.Many trees were cut down to widen the roads.No demand for wood.Not fit even for fuel since it produces lot of smoke and no calorific value. regards tspkumar
