cannot find pserver to setup remote cvs server
CVS 1.11.1p1 I am attempting to setup a cvs server. The docs say to add 2401 stream tcp nowait root /usr/local/bin/cvs cvs -b /usr/local/bin pserver to the inetd.conf file but pserver doesn't seem to exist on my system. cvs works fine otherwise. Should I already have the pserver app, and where can I get it. -Shane ___ Info-cvs mailing list [EMAIL PROTECTED] http://mail.gnu.org/mailman/listinfo/info-cvs

Same problem. I don't have pserver on my system. Is it supposed to come with CVS? :\ and why is www.cvshome.org such a slow server? It takes about a minute to load each page and I have a large pipe where I work. -shane ___ Info-cvs mailing list [EMAIL PROTECTED] http://mail.gnu.org/mailman/listinfo/info-cvs

Kinda wish the -v output for the nonserver version would say something to the like that it doesn't have the server side. oh well. getting a copy of a file without setting any flags in CVS
I can't seem to find my answer in the docs, though I'm sure it's there. How can I pull out a revision of a file but not have CVS set any flags or make any entries etc. anywhere. I don't want it to think I'm doing a checkout of anything, I just want a complete text file of an old version. -shane ___ Info-cvs mailing list [EMAIL PROTECTED] http://mail.gnu.org/mailman/listinfo/info-cvs
how to change a rev number
I accidently checked in a file with the wrong rev number. How do I go about changing the rev number in the DB? Is there an easier way than checking the rev out, removing it from the DB and putting it back with the new rev? -shane ___ Info-cvs mailing list [EMAIL PROTECTED] http://mail.gnu.org/mailman/listinfo/info-cvs

Leave the > revision numbers to CVS. point taken. but then what is the use of having a hierchal rev number if tags are what one should use? wouldn't cvs just use an incrementing number ie 1,2,3,4 instead of 1.0.1,1.0.2,etc.. -shane ___ Info-cvs mailing list [EMAIL PROTECTED] http://mail.gnu.org/mailman/listinfo/info-cvs
more info on bugzilla and cvs integration
Just curious if there was a site that detailed bugzilla and cvs integration more than the bugzilla FAQ. Thank you -shane ___ Info-cvs mailing list [EMAIL PROTECTED] http://mail.gnu.org/mailman/listinfo/info-cvs
Re: About the SPAM
No they only know that _his/her_ email address is real. Though actually replying to most spammers is fairly futile. Either you give them info about an actual addy or you just get a bounced message cause they spoof their address. I think I see why some ISP's just block off all emails from certain countries now. It's sad that a country that is advancing like china is taking it's first real steps on the internet so poorly. -shane Ruprecht Helms wrote: > > On 10-Apr-02 Isaac Claymore wrote: > > According to my observations, almost all of the spam plaguing this list > > come from China. > > Please don't answer spammers!!! > So they know that this is a real email-adress. > You only get more spam then before. > > > And I hope I can help you list maintainers eliminate the spam. > > Much spam by maildownload is filtered out using maildrop in > combination with razor. 1.11 compatible with 1.10 files?
Our current cvs version is 1.10 and we are thinking of upgrading to 1.11. Is 1.11 completely backwards compatible with the 1.10 structure the cvs server uses? -shane ___ Info-cvs mailing list [EMAIL PROTECTED] http://mail.gnu.org/mailman/listinfo/info-cvs
