keyword for branch-name?
Is there a keyword for the branch-name of the currently checked out file? I want to use it in a version file, in which I have to print the branch name. Zip the repository?
Hi! Does anybody know how to use a zipped repository? Usually all files in the repository are unzipped. I would like to zip all files in the repository to reduce its size. I know that this will cause a performance leak, but at the moment performance is not so important. Problems with binary files on Solaris 2.7
Hello, I have problems to work with binary files using cvs under Solaris 2.7 cvs 1.9. I add binary files via cvs add -kb filename and cvs commit filename. After changing the binary file I try to do cvs commit again, but now I get the error message new revision: 1.2; previous revision: 1.1 Binary files /tmp/da004cc and /tmp/T2a004cb differ ci: /export/home/uli/cvsrepository/cvstest/bin/bintest,v: diff failed ci aborted cvs commit: could not check in bintest It is amazing, but if I use a text file and mark it as binary with -kb, everything works fine. Do I use the wrong version of diff? I couldn't find an answer in the CVS manuals and CVS-FAQ. Any help appreciated!
