First off, I wouldn't do that if it were me.  One of the major
advantages of CVS, in my mind, is that you can go back to any old
version of the file you like.  And you always have that log and diff
information if you need it.

That said, if you REALLY, REALLY want to you can delete revision using
the 'cvs admin -o' command.  If you deleted all revisions except the
revision you  wanted, you COULD effectively reset the revision to 1.1.

Make sure you backup your archive file before you start playing with
admin -o.

How can we change the revision number of a file with WinCVS?

Can we reset the revision number of a file to 1.1?
