Signaled to death

2003-01-26 Thread Martin Ziegler
Hi All,

i'm using cyrus-imap 2.1.9 for several and until yesterday evening without
problems. When i started my client this morning i was no longer able to
login to my cyrus server. The log says

	process xyxy exited, signaled to deatch by 11

I already did a reconstruct on all mailboxes as suggested in the FAQ but
unfortunately without success. Since i changed nothing on the system for a
long time i'm wondering what caused this problem.

Can someone please help me on this ( until this is fixed i'm quasi offline
;-/ )

Thanks

 Martin

What version of net-snmpd do you use? Have you built and configured
net-snmpd to support agentx? Double check and make sure cyrus has snmp
support compiled in.
cyrus-imapd-src$ grep HAVE_UCDSNMP config.h
#define HAVE_UCDSNMP 1

You need to start snmpd before you start cyrus. snmpwalk should produce
something like:

imapd (2.1.11) : Strange dirs while installing : /usr/local/local/???

2003-01-26 Thread Dennis Leist
I tried to compile & install cyrus-sasl-2.1.10 on a debian system
(Kernel: 2.2.19pre17) from scratch. Prior to that I installed
openssl-0.9.7.
After having some problems I made sasl2 run.

My configure options for the IMAP are: --with-openssl=/usr/local/ssl

I don't know why but I got the following while 'make install':
Installing /usr/local/local/lib/perl/5.6.1/auto/Cyrus/IMAP/IMAP.so
Installing /usr/local/local/man/man1/cyradm.1p
Writing /usr/local/local/lib/perl/5.6.1/auto/Cyrus/IMAP/.packlist

/usr/local/local/lib/perl/5.6.1/auto/Cyrus/SIEVE/managesieve/.packlist

I already tried to define the concerning paths via configure options but
that didn't help!

Can anybody help?

Sieve problem

2003-01-26 Thread dirk . schwier
Hy everybody,

is there anybody out there (you may help me ...) ?
I'm having trouble with the sieve functionality of my cyrus-2.1.10 Server
It took me quite a while to set up the following system, but now ist works fine:

- ---  -
| fetchmail | --> | postfix | --> | procmail | --> | cyrus ("deliver") |
- ---  -

 | spamassasin |

The problem is, that sieve scripts are completly not working.

First I will describe what is possible to do:
* I can upload/activate sieve-scripts with installsieve/or managesieve (they are
marked as active)
* In my mails I have a header "X-Sieve: CMU Sieve 2.2"

Good grief. Another from the RPM-never-works crowd. There's NOTHING
wrong with Redhat's RPMS. Don't throw out the baby with the bathwater.
Check to ensure the perl-Cyrus RPM got installed first.

Uninstall all Perl based RPM's that are auto installed by Red Hat and
recompile it from source code, that is all that I could do to guarantee a
working machine.
