Weird Characters in unexpunge

2015-12-16 Thread Stephan via Info-cyrus

Hello all,

unexpunge (cyrus 2.5.7) is showing weird behaviour when it comes to subject
lines containing the double quotation mark ("). When running reconstruct -l the
subject lines containg a '"' show up as

{}Subject, for instance

    Subj: {109}
Cron

I redirected the output to a file and opened it with vim, which shows a ^M
before end of the line, which is a carriage return if I'm not mistaken. So I
guess there is a involved.

The mail as such looks perfectly fine. Is this a feature or should I open a bug
report ?

Thanks,
Stephan

We might have had similar problems with Outlook 2013:

- Messages would get deleted or simply lost when they were copied between

Attached is a patch that we used locally with Cyrus IMAPD 2.4.17 to
improve compatibility with Outlook 2013.

I can now confirm that this patch resolves many of the problems with
Outlook 2013. I notice it has been incorporated into Cyrus 2.5:

I wonder why it hasn't been included in 2.4?
