ptloader doesn't work anymore (SEGFAULT)

2020-09-11 Thread Rainer Ruprechtsberger
Hi,
I used ptlaoder quite successfully up to version 2.4 of cyrus. Since the
upgrade to 2.5 I get SEGFAULTs.

After the upgrade to 3.2.2 I tested it again, but still:

process type:SERVICE name:ptloader path:/usr/lib/cyrus/bin/ptloader
age:0.665s pid:19082 signaled to death by signal 11 (Segmentation fault)

I tried to enter 'ptloader -d' in cyrus.conf but this did not work for
me (no ptloader started at all).

My environment is Debian Buster and I use the packages from backports.
My ldap server is an openldap slapd accessed via local unix socket.

Any hint on where and how to debug this would be appreciated.

/rupi

Thanks a lot. My problem came from installing cyrus from the debian
backports repository and I indeed forgot to pull the cyrus-admin package
from there as well.

Cryus 3.2.2: Remote does not support ANNOTATEMORE

2020-08-12 Thread Rainer Ruprechtsberger
Hi,
not sure if it is only after the upgrade to 3.2.2 since the features are
not that much in use. But I did set 'expire' and 'sharedseen' before.

Now I get 'Remote does not support ANNOTATEMORE' using 'mboxconfig ..
expire' or 'sharedseen' or even 'info'.

My admin account seems to be admin still (no problem creating, removing
mailboxes or set acls).

Any idea what could have happend there?

Thanks,

Yes, I know, we use "PLAIN" which does support that.

Thank you very much - I did not know of these tools. In the end
debugging with sivtest yielded results:

Since the upgrade my groupware (SOGo) did not want to talk TLS with
cyrus (gnutls vs. openssl problem most likely) and so I added plain
listeners on the internal mailcluster network.

However: sieve login works but cyrus refuses to proxy authenticate with
an ssf of 0.

I ended up using perdition as sort of TLS upgrade proxy. Works fine and
removes the need for a second imapd.conf that I would need to keep in sync.

Thanks again,
rupi

Sieve admin account doesn't work anymore

2020-02-17 Thread Rainer Ruprechtsberger
Hi,
I hope I got the list to post this question to right, please excuse me
if I didn't..

I resently upgraded a cyrus-imap from version 2.4 to 3.0 and since then
my sieve admin account is not an admin anymore:

sieveshell -u admin -a admin => works
sieveshell -u user -a user => works
sieveshell -u user -a admin => 'PLAIN authentication failure'

The account is configured admin in imapd.conf:

sieve_admins: admin

Since this account is used to enable / disable scheduled vaccation
messages it creates some problems.. any help would be appreciated.

lg,
rupi
