[info-tech] Doodle 4 Google
Welcome to Doodle 4 Google, a competition where we invite K-12 students to play around with our homepage logo and see what new designs they come up with. This year we're inviting U.S. kids to join in the doodling fun, around the intriguing theme What I Wish for the World. http://www.google.com/doodle4google/ - Tim Buenz Director of Technology Jefferson-Scranton Comm. [info-tech] test scanning software
We have a few teachers that want to start using test scanning software. For example: multiple choice test - students fill out scan sheet or other method I know there are some online solutions also. What have others used?
Re: [info-tech] test scanning software
We use the Scantron version--really old (before I came to the district old) that hooks up to a computer running Windows 95, and some goofy hookup. I don't speak PC well. LOL I believe I came across their newer versions that are USB connectivity and fairly reasonable priced in a magazine ad . . . but if it's not broke . . . the only problem I've had is trying to replace the computer when it crashed once. http://www.scantron.com/ On Feb 3, 2009, at 10:30 AM, Brad Kruse wrote: We have a few teachers that want to start using test scanning software. How many of you use a Blog or website of some form to communicate with your faculty and community members? If so what do you use? How often do you update? What do you put there? Karl H. Re: [info-tech] Tech Blog
We have setup a message board (forum) on our website recently. Not used much yet but there are some classes that have used it and I want to use it more in the future for faq and tech topics. Re: [info-tech] Tech Blog
We use both. We have blogs for elementary and preschool and a tech blog for me to give info to the staff or anyone interested. We have a latest news section on the website for the public and a staff alerts section that only shows up when the staff logs in to get info to our staff. RE: [info-tech] Tech Blog
I have a Tech Blog that I use to get (what I hope is) useful information out to the students, and they can comment back with their input (which is often very helpful). Many of our teachers have blogs that they use in their classes in different ways, and some groups (my tech helpers and my NASA group) have private blogs to share information that's not public. Some of our blogs are updated frequently, and some languish for long periods. Some of our blogs are open to view and comment from the general public, and some are restricted to domain users or even to members of certain groups. http://main.newell-fonda.k12.ia.us/users/ -Original Message- From: info-tech-ow...@aea8.k12.ia.us [mailto:info-tech-ow...@aea8.k12.ia.us] On Behalf Of Karl Hehr Sent: Tuesday, February 03, 2009 11:16 AM To: Info-Tech Subject: [info-tech] Tech Blog How many of you use a Blog or website of some form to communicate with your faculty and community members?
