I personally use it and love it. Works great to talk to anyone. And
yes I think it would work great for one to one questions. Just my two
cents.

RE: [info-tech] XP Keyboard is funky

2009-06-08 Thread Brett Johnston
Here’s what Matt said,

Mitch, it sounds like you have a stuck 'CTRL' or 'ALT' key. Try pushing both
(on both sides) with a little force to see if you can feel it come loose.
Sometimes though, you can't feel it come loose, but it does in fact loosen up.
You might have to pop the keys themselves off if you don't have any luck.

I didn’t see anything on your message. Or did you not have anything to say on
this topic. I really need some help on it.

RE: [info-tech] MS Money

2009-01-30 Thread Brett Johnston
About a week and a half or so ago I received a packet from the claims
admin from Minneapolis. I'm guessing it's the same as the one Jeremy
got. Verify licenses submit corrections etc. I too am short several
thousand dollars and have 60 days to prove volume licenses were indeed
purchased. More fun added on top of a building project.

Has anyone seen/heard of the original round of lawsuit money from
Microsoft? (From all the paperwork we filled out over a year ago) Since
the John O'Conner meeting in November, I haven't heard any noise. I
wonder if we are better off contacting Steve J. about this...

RE: [info-tech] School Surveillance and Security

2008-04-25 Thread Brett Johnston
We just purchased a 16 channel PC based system from New Millennium
Technology out of Indianola. It is a networkable system that allows
remote viewing on any machine running XP or 2000. It is also audio
capable. Unit is a little more costly but unlike DVR's if one component
dies it can be replaced as every component is serviceable, verses
throwing away the entire unit. The cameras run 24/7 with compression of
2400/1. It also uses full size 640x480 frames when viewing and images
can be enlarged without pixelating.

The cameras are full color with IR in vandal-proof domes and run at 540
lines of resolution. The unit can store about one month's worth of
video on all 16 cameras.

We currently has a rinky-dink 4 camera setup here that records to a
DVR system, and the cameras are awful and need upgrading. Are any of
you guys running camera systems? ANy suggestions?
