[info-tech] Microsoft software

2010-05-10 Thread Jackie Fonley
Happy Monday! Quick question for the app -- how specific have you been
in the budget narrative regarding software? Have you listed every
piece of software you plan on purchasing . . . or some of the main
ones and a other as deemed necessary?

:-)

In the budget explanation I listed the large expenses (sight lic.) but
not all of them.

ordinary and is just a natural part of the way the world works.
2) Anything that's invented between when you're 15 and 35 is new and
exciting and revolutionary and you can probably get a career in it.
3) Anything invented after you're 35 is again the natural order of
things

I'd at least bullet them. I got the impression if it's not in the app, then
it's a no go.

We are listing the main ones, and saying we will continue to be on the
lookout for additional software to help us achieve our goals.

[info-tech] Microsoft Software Inventory Analyzer

2008-08-22 Thread Scott Fosseen
I just ran across this tool while doing some research for a school district
Microsoft Software Inventory Analyzer
http://www.microsoft.com/resources/sam/msia.mspx

It will support a network scan of up to 250 workstation, but only looks for
installed Microsoft applications. I did download and run a scan on my local
machine and it worked really fast. If the network scan runs the same it may
be worth a try on your network to verify your Microsoft License counts.
