We already provide Gluster RPMs in many different distributions. For all
I know, we do not have access to statistics from most of them. Just to
list the ones that I can think of immediately: Fedora, CentOS Storage
SIG, Debian, Ubuntu LaunchPad, Arch, NetBSD port, FreeBSD port.

And then there are several cloud providers with their own caching
proxies and internal mirrors...

How accurate could our download statistics be?

Have a look at:
http://ovirt-infra-docs.readthedocs.io/en/latest/CI/Build_and_test_standards.html
Once you have automation directory in place you can easily add checks,
builds and publishing to jenkins project.

[ACTION REQUIRED][ATTENTION NEEDED] move gluster repo to CentOS Storage SIG

2016-04-28 Thread Sandro Bonazzola
Hi,
this week we faced an outage on download.gluster.org server which broke our
CI and caused users to be unable to install oVirt on centOS during the
outage due to missing gluster packages.

We've been advised by gluster community to use CentOS Storage SIG gluster
rpms instead of community ones.

I've started moving our release rpm to point to it starting from master (
https://gerrit.ovirt.org/56751 )
and I'll slowly go over our projects.
In the meanwhile, if you've standard-ci based automation and you require
gluster repositories, please move to CentOS Storage SIG as well.

Repository is at
http://mirror.centos.org/centos/$releasever/storage/$basearch/gluster-3.7/

Thanks,

This isn't a question about RPMs, this is about what we're providing
directly from download.gluster.org.

However, if we can get apache logs from the mirror connected to Bitergia's
dashboards, that will work, they don't have a problem with adding in
another apache log.
