Plus.line wants to become an oVirt mirror

2015-09-07 Thread Jan Siml
Hello Infra team,

I'm working for Plus.line, a medium-sized ISP based in Frankfurt,
Germany. Plus.line offers hosting services, corporate networks and
internet access. We are using oVirt for various projects and want to
give something back to the community. We'd like to spend bandwith and
offer you a mirror server in Germany.

I have attached the necessary SSH public key. The FTP server is named
ftp.plusline.net, offers FTP as well as HTTP and is accessible via IPv4
and IPv6.

2015-09-08 Thread Anton Marchukov
Hello Jan.

Thanks for your help with mirroring.

I have just added your key to our server, so you should now be able to
perform rsync as described on http://www.ovirt.org/Repository_mirrors

Please try that and let us know if you have any problems. If that works,
please send the links to http and ftp locations on you server, so we can
update our mirrors page.

Anton.

After a few days checking that it's ok, you can add it to the mirrorlist file
used to generate the mirrors for yum, it's somewhere at repos under resources
iirc

And for the Wiki pages:

Name: Plus.line AG (http://www.plusline.net/en/)
Location: Germany (Frankfurt)
URLs: see above
Contact: ftp-ad...@plusline.net

Direct links to versions for Download page:

oVirt 3.5: http://ftp.plusline.net/ovirt/ovirt-3.5/
oVirt 3.5 Nightly: http://ftp.plusline.net/ovirt/ovirt-3.5-snapshot/
oVirt 3.6 Nightly: http://ftp.plusline.net/ovirt/ovirt-master-snapshot/

Hi Jan,
After testing it for a few days, everything seems fine and I've added the
site to the mirror list, I'll update the web pages later today.

Thanks for your help

Hello Nadav,

thanks for adding the mirror. Just one more thing: We also offer public
rsync service [1]. If you think it might be interesting for users, then
you can add this information to the web pages too.
