Release monitoring: no scratch builds with non URL source files in repo

2019-05-30 Thread Ankur Sinha
Hello,

I've recently seen this on an upstream release monitoring bug:

"The following Sources of the specfile are not valid URLs so we cannot
automatically build the new version for you. Please use URLs in your
Source declarations if possible."

https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=1612483#c10

The concerned file here is an extra doc file that is included in the
repo. Is it possible to handle this case somehow? (Was this always the
case?)

I guess rpmlint would complain as well. May be you could use a URL to
the file in dist-git repo?

https://src.fedoraproject.org/rpms/urlscan/raw/master/f/muttrc

Not sure if that is not too daring, but it is "upstream" url of that
file, isn't it?

2019-05-30 Thread Michal Konecny

Hi,

I fixed most of the issues with the-new-hotness (which is creating
bugzilla bugs and doing koji scratch builds) regarding the scratch build
recently and this one is not an issue, at least it was this way from the
start.
If you want to change this, please create an issue on
https://github.com/fedora-infra/the-new-hotness.

I suspected this was always the case. Maybe the new error text caught me
off-guard. I'll file an issue, but this isn't very important. Just
knowing that a new version is available is the bit I personally care
about :)

Thanks for your work,
