Re: The new Fedora Status is now Live
Hi! I like how it looks, thanks for the amazing work. One thing I think is missing is a way to query the status of individual components, maybe it's not needed but I was thinking on it. Congrats on this great work. Re: What is our technical debt?
Maybe I'm far out, but it's interesting to me that nobody had said ELK+Kibana+Logtash for monitoring. AFAIK there are ready to use containers with it, the configuration it's easy to do and the work needs to be done entirely for the dashboards you want to monitor. Sorry if the suggestion is silly. Re: Libravatar shutting down on 2018-09-01
I was reseraching a little bit and I found that this project is made in python with Django. Is it possible that we can take this project and do an implementation of our own? The current implementation [1] is: - Debian - Postgres - Django - Python stack And the stats (infrastructure requirements) [2] are: - Storage: - Application server: - 1 GB General Purpose v1 Rackspace cloud server - Number of user accounts: 6655 - Number of unique avatars: 6919 (355 MB) - Static image server: - 1 GB General Purpose v1 Rackspace cloud server - Size of avatars on disk: 1.8 GB - Traffic: - Application server: - Bandwidth: 328.31 MB - Hits: 43,823 - Static image server: - Bandwidth: 18.99 GB - Total hits: 11,191,373 - Redirects (to Gravatar): 9,605,127 There is a long blog post [3] about why it's shutting down, but the link that I found useful for possibly take this project is the development environment [4]. It's just a question, maybe is too big to take it for the whole world, but it looks like a great project for the Python SIG.
