It floats okay in konqueror, but not in firefox...

Also, is there any way you can get the columns to line up a bit better?
I.e., the first letter in each column should be aligned, and the percent
sign on each number should be aligned within the column. I think this
will make the list look cleaner.

This week i'll try to update l10_status scipt, so that it directly
provides pre-formated (html ? xml ? wiki_code ?) output, that can be
directly copied-pasted on a page.

I've updated the css file to beautify the list of translations on the news
page. Also the structure of translations' list in article created by Bryce
has been modified. I've removed the table and set lists to float so they
will wrap if the page has width smaller then required.

Matiphas, the template for l10_status script now looks as the code
below.(I hope it will make it through, otherwise plese consult the source
code of the article for details, thanks.)

One idea at the end, is there any page where this status can users see
without putting it on a homepage in news? it would be good to link it from
the "TranslatingInkscape" page for user to let them see how is the
progress there. The page could be static, generated by the script after
each commit of updated translations. If such a page is already there then
I suggest to link it :)

[Inkscape-translator] markup error

2006-05-29 Thread Aaron Spike
I'm getting a markup error again when I try to run `make distcheck`.
Could someone suggest a fix?

perl ./po/check-markup ./po/*.po
zh_CN.po: parsing error for `<图像>':
#: ../src/ui/dialog/inkscape-preferences.cpp:516
msgid "Import bitmap as "
msgstr "以<图像>导入位图"

zh_CN.po: parsing error for `<图像>':
#: ../src/ui/dialog/inkscape-preferences.cpp:518
msgid "When on, an imported bitmap creates an element; otherwise
it is a rectangle with bitmap fill"
msgstr "启用时,导入位图创建一个<图像>元素;否则就是一个使用位图填色的矩形"

make[1]: *** [distcheck-hook] Error 1

Would it be possible for someone to run this check periodicly?

Re: [Inkscape-translator] Problems in zh_CN.po

2006-05-29 Thread Matiphas
OK, when I 'untranslate' (blank those 2 strings), check_markup is happy
with zh_CN.po file.

In fact, I suspect check_markup detects a false error :
in the original file it detects an tag and doesn't find it in
the translated string. Must I fill a ticket about check_markup ?

If you're ok with this solution, I'll commit the 'updated' zh_CN.po file
and close the bug.

Regards,

   matiphas

PPS : my fault : I should have verified the file with check_markup
before committing it. As a penalty, I promise to offer a good diner in
Paris to the first developper/translator coming in Paris :)

[Inkscape-translator] Translation wiki update

2006-05-29 Thread matiphas

Hi all,

after our discussions of the last weeks, I've started updating the translation
wiki.
-> A proposal for review, modifications, updates, remarks, completion can be
found there : http://wiki.inkscape.org/wiki/index.php/TestPage

It is based on the current translation pages, with some added general
informations.

If you feel OK with this, i will copy it over current Translation page of the
wiki.

My main concerns up to now are :
- split main translation page, status and contacts ?
- obsfucate mails in contacts ?
- i've mentionned last translators, but in the vast majority, translations are
managed by teams or at least several contributors
- needs (a lot of) additional content
- needs a big review

regards,

   matiphas

Yes but in this case, is not really a tag, it is an example string.

I've just modified this string (translated ) in the .po file.
As I'm away from my home machine, I've attached the updated file in the tracker
in case someone can test.

IMHO tags should not be translated, even if they are in plain text.
SVG uses English words.

Well, i did not detected any error when checking the file.

I'm even able to generate a .mo file from zh_CN.po file, copy it in locale
direrctory of inkscape, and launch Inkscape with those locales

-> The only issue I have is that the display is a bit strange, but maybe I need
appropriate fonts... (see attached screenshot).
No issue with 'po file compilation'
