[Inkscape-translator] missing string for translation, or I don't know to whom it belongs
In Edit - Input Devices... - the current selected item is Core Pointer (in list and as title). Where from comes this string ? It does not appear to exist in the .pot file. I also checked at random in the gtk .mo files that are present in my GIMP install and it is not there either. I'm using one of the most recent development version (devel r12162), on Windows. Re: [Inkscape-translator] probably a bug in degree sign character representation
On 2013-03-10 18:57 +0100, Cristian Secară wrote: The degree sign is mostly represented in HTML entity (#176;) instead of direct Unicode character (0x00B0, i.e. ˚), so in some menus it shows as HTML (for example in Object - Rotate 90#176; etc.) AFAICT this is a regression introduced in r12132: http://bazaar.launchpad.net/~inkscape.dev/inkscape/trunk/revision/12132 (at least with my archived builds on OS X, it works up to 12131 as expected, with r12132 and later revisions, the text of the menu entry shows the HTML markup instead of the degree sign.) I presume that all occurences should be changed back to Unicode. AFAICT there have been no recent changes to the strings (e.g. for 'Object Rotate') in 'src/verbs.cpp' which ought to be reverted: trunk: http://bazaar.launchpad.net/~inkscape.dev/inkscape/trunk/view/head:/src/verbs.cpp#L2544 0.48.x branch: http://bazaar.launchpad.net/~inkscape.dev/inkscape/RELEASE_0_48_BRANCH/view/head:/src/verbs.cpp#L2443 Related to this, I am not sure what is the part of the first variable here (and other similar strings): bCurve segment/b: angle %3.2f#176;, distance % s; etc. Cristi -- Symantec Endpoint Protection 12 positioned as A LEADER in The Forrester Wave(TM): Endpoint Security, Q1 2013 and remains a good choice in the endpoint security space.
