I *uinstalled* SS 11, but get the same error as before during the
upgrade. How can I check if SS11 has been uninstalled correctly?

Here's the contents of /tmp/upgrade_space_required.

Mount Point Slice Current Size Min suggested
---
/ /dev/dsk/c0d0s0 8161020 8256360

/export/home /dev/dsk/c0d0s7 33142095866656

Thanks,
Jyothi

I was able to upgrade to 5/07 successfully after a correct uninstall of
SS11 .

Thanks,
Jyothi

 Jyothi,

When you did your initial install, did you select "Solaris Express,
Developer Edition" or "Solaris Express"? If you selected "Solaris
 Express,
Developer Edition", the need for DSR might be because the installer is
trying to size / to now include all of the Chinese and Japanese
 packages,
 due to 6562945.

 Sue

So, what is the total disk space that you have on this system?
If you have an adjacent partition with space which can be used
for Solaris, then you can use gparted CD to resize Solaris
partition and then do the upgrade.

But, it is better to take a backup of important data before
 trying out anything.

 Hi,

 I am upgrading my Toshiba m5 from b62 to b64a(5/07). I
 initally
did not choose any backup media during the upgrade process.
After the "Testing upgrade profile" , I got the following
 error
 message:

"Disk space reallocation is required. Please go back and
 select a
 valid backup media."

I chose "local disk" as the backup media. I am unsure about
 the
path to specify for the backup.
What is the recommended path and why do I get the disk space
 error message ?

 Thanks.
