Skills and Competence

• SAS coding fluency – high comfort level writing data step, proc
(especially SQL) & macro code

• Ability to query and comprehend large-scale databases

• Solid UNIX experience and ability to perform basic file searching &
editing functions

• Knowledge of networking concepts such as SSH and NFS.

• Strong communication skills with the ability to report status and
progress to management team

• Accustomed to steep learning curves & adapting to new technologies
quickly

• Ability to work independently

• Experience with SAS platform administration and security is an added
bonus

DESCRIPTION and RESPONSIBILITIES

One of our client is seeking a full time SAS Business Analyst / Program
Manager for Hotel Forecasting and Revenue Management to work with our
client, a travel and hospitality company in the Dallas, TX (and other
locations).

The consultant will assist the client to design, develop and to optimize
occupancy forecasting and revenue management processes and procedures into
business initiatives. The consultant must have excellent communication
skills and must be able to communicate about the techniques developed and
results of analysis both to executives and other analysts in the
organization.

QUALIFICATIONS – ESSENTIAL

 Must have extensive past experience of working in a revenue management
project for travel and hospitality industry (Car Rental, Hotel or
Airlines). The consultant must have this domain experience.•

 Consultant will be working with our client to optimize revenue management
and occupancy forecasts processes and procedures.•

 Proficient in requirements definition, analysis and documentation.
Develop, write, and communicate functional and non-functional requirements.
Ability to lead and drive the requirements phase of the SDLC. Ability to
lead, •

 design, and facilitate requirements workshops and Joint Application Design
(JAD) sessions.

 Develop reusable methodologies and best practices.•

 Assist the Program Manager and the development team members in project•

planning. Typical projects will involve system implementation, process
redesign and/or analytics.

 Assess client needs utilizing a structured requirements process
(gathering, analyzing, documenting, and managing changes) to prioritize
immediate business needs and recommend options, risks and cost vs.
benefits.•

 Understanding of gathering to-be business requirements, documenting
functional specifications and user acceptance testing activities. •

 Define and document process flows.•

 Most of the work off-site with possibility of travel for checkpoint
meetings to customer or to SAS.•

Position: SAS Data Integration Consultant *** Must have strong experience
with DI Studio ********

Location: Los Angeles, CA

Duration: 3-4 Months Contract to Hire



Description

Background:

The Customer requires an experience SAS Data Integration consultant (client
prefers experience with SAS Data Integration Studio 4.9)



Specific Requirements:

a. Mid to senior level resource, 5+ years experience

b. Must know SAS Data Integration Studio (Prefers DI Studio 4.9 exp)

c. Nice to have SAS Enterprise Guide.

d. Must be able to build and maintain SAS DI Studio jobs, job flows within

Platform LSF, and troubleshoot job failures.

e. Must be able to perform both production support role as well as new
development tasks.

f. 5 years or more of Data Warehousing implementation experience and
experience developing technical solutions with SAS Data Integration in a
SAS environment.

g. Data Modeling, Data Architecting and ETL architecting expertise is
required.

h. Integrating and managing the data mappings from the client’s data
sources (mainly MS-SQL Server) to the SAS Data Warehouse using SAS Data
Management Solution.

i. Designing, developing and implementing the DI Studio job flows to load
the data into SAS.

j. Ability to develop new data loads to existing data warehouse.

k. Creating Stored Processes to provide the users easy access to the data.

l. Have good oral and written communication skills.

m. Lead and/or actively participate in SAS knowledge-sharing activities.

n. Must be able to read, and understand existing coding and processing to
troubleshoot and resolved issues as they arise.
