*Job Description:*



Review the demos of existing systems, create requirement documents,
estimate effort, review test design/plans and test cases, ensure optimum
test environment is setup, and coordinate with client and internal team on
status updates WITH the objective of ensuring the highest levels of service
offerings to clients in testing WITHIN the guidelines, policies and norms
of Infosys.
Coming up with overall test strategy for UAT for major program.
Leading a team of 3+ resources in planning and executing UAT from offshore.
Co-ordinate with BA’s and business partners at onsite to identify the items
to be covered for UAT.
Prepare detailed execution calendar for UAT outlining the activities to be
performed on a day to day basis for execution.
Work with offshore testers in ensuring tech batch runs and processes are
lined up to support the UAT plan created.
Mentor the offshore team in coming up with test scenarios and test cases
for UAT.
Help business team with test data identification and liaise with offshore
team in ensuring required data set-up is done ahead of time for UAT.
Ensure test cases and defects are maintained in QC for UAT and establish
traceability between test cases and URs for complete coverage.
Provide walkthrough of test results to business SMEs and stakeholders to
obtain sign offs for UAT completed.
Liaise with tech partners to address any issues identified during UAT.
Anchor defect triage meetings and meetings with cross commit teams in
ensuring UAT for the entire program is executed as per plan.
Perform hands on execution when required to meet UAT deadlines (Must be
able to do CICS screen validations and basic mainframe file and table
checkouts when needed)
Capture and provide testing status reports to stakeholders and business
leaders.
Identify risks and issues proactively and work out mitigation plans and
ensure communication of the same to stakeholders.
Must Haves – Skills: Experience in Mainframe testing - CICS, JCL and File
Aid. Brokerage experience, Must be willing to work in Global Delivery Model
and mentor/support offshore team on a regular basis

Requirement Summary
· Overall experience of 8+ years.
· Minimum 4+ years of hands on experience in testing and leading mainframe
projects.
· Knowledge of brokerage and banking domain.

Technical Skill Set: (Hands on knowledge mandatory)
· Tools: HP Quality Center, JIRA.
· Mainframes: JCL (Test JCL creation from production JCLs) , PACBASE &
COBOL (For reviewing and understanding programs written) , Writing simple
SORT CARDS for extraction/formatting.
· Databases: IMS, DB2 and Oracle.

Primary Responsibilities & Objectives:
Ø Coming up an test strategy and testing approach for major program for ST,
SIT and UAT phases.
Ø Leading a team of 6+ resources in planning and executing the testing for
Mainframe projects.
Ø Hands on knowledge in mainframes for test JCLs creation, writing simple
sort cards for formatting and file conversion.
Ø Knowledge of DB2 and IMS DBs for doing table load/unload, writing simple
queries for data extraction/filtration.
Ø Hands on knowledge in troubleshooting mainframe job abends to identify
RCA.
Ø Review/track and execute the testing phases for the project as per plan
and ability to escalate/highlight issues/risks/concerns and come up with
mitigation plans to solve them
Ø Good understanding of HP QC/ALM as a tool for defect tracking and
traceability.
