Position: *Sr. Business Analyst*
Duration: 6+ month contract
Location: Boston MA

*Required Skills:*
1. Experience with ServiceNow/ITSM tools implementation within an IT
services environment (ideally certified)
2. Familiarity with ITSM practices: ITIL v2, ITIL v3
3. Work with business process owners and users for requirements
gathering/analysis
4. Integration with event monitoring tool and other standard integrations
with ITSM tools
5. Hands-on design, development and deployment experience with the
ServiceNow platform and ITSM toolsets including full documentation
6. Ability to perform requirements gathering, process mapping, Business
process reengineering, Release management, test, and end-user support
7. Develop scalable solutions and reviewed business processes
8. Guides the business to make the appropriate decisions to reach a
positive impact to the technology solution
9. Evaluate and documented business processes and functional requirements
10. Implement information flow analysis for various business streams
11. Develop and execute system test plans
12. Participate in process designing sessions and documented process flows
13. Design and formulate application requirements and test conditions
14. Make appropriate business decisions that carry the project forward to
completion and elevate any concerns of delay to management when necessary
15. Work closely with all IT Managers involved with the project
16. Work closely with the business users in identifying business rules to
aid in the functional specifications of tasks so that the IT Developers are
able to create programs that fulfill all business expectations
17. Exposure to Business Requirements modeling techniques including Unified
Modeling Language (UML) and Service Modeling
18. Knowledge of integrated business process modeling for operations
procedures, including process improvements and efficiencies
19. Familiar with Business Process Modeling Language
20. Knowledge of how to retrofit traditional application projects to
support an SOA approach to implementation
21. Works closely with the IT project manager to prioritize and coordinate
individual project tasks and assess time sensitive constraints on
development tasks
22. Proactively address problems and troubleshoot issues during the build
and support phase of various implementations
23. Provide direction and leadership in promoting and implementing
best-practice IT solutions
24. Liaison between the business and the developers as they begin coding
and testing the functional changes
25. Provide the necessary documentation in a project - i.e. business
requirements, use cases, functional specifications, and documentation for
business training materials
26. Research best practices for business analysis and suggest improvement
opportunities for the project
27. Extensive use of the system development life cycle
28. Possesses strong knowledge of the business and applications that
support them

Has experience with Use Case design/analysis/specifications

Analyzes and documents system defects
Demonstrates the ability to effectively multi-task
Has a history of successful customer relationship and satisfaction
experience
Is client-focused
Active member or certification in IIBA is desirable
Certified Business Analysis Professional (CBAP) a high benefit
