Mandatory Technical / Functional Skills

• Applies client Standards, checks models in and out of Model Repository,
and documents data model translation decisions.

• 3-5 years prior data modeling

• Prefer to have data analyst experience

• Should have Data warehousing Data modelling experience

• Should have idea in both Normalize and Dimensional data modeling

• Experience/Expoure to PDW and Tabular Data modelling

• Experienced in using Power Designer and Erwin

• Logical Design Demonstrated experience with large scale, multiple
business solutions across divisions or enterprise

• Ability to communicate strategies and processes around data modeling and
architecture to cross functional groups and senior levels

• Ability to influence multiple levels on highly technical issues and
challenges

• Demonstrated experience to influence and coordinate third parties and
suppliers.

Customer facing role. Resource must be able to work as an individual
contributor in a team environment. He/she will own work products and be
expected to interface with customer. Erwin experience is a must. Hands-on
logical modeling experience is a must. Retail experience is a must.
Teradata experience is highly desirable.

Ø  The Business Information Modeler is responsible for transforming
business information into models (most often logical data models) and
managing the enterprise data model.

Ø  The emphasis on this position is the modeling of the business that is
required for a successful data warehouse.

Ø  This goes beyond the role of a typical application level data modeler in
that it requires modeling from an enterprise perspective rather than from a
single business function perspective.

Ø  The Business Information Modeler is proficient in industry standard
techniques for process modeling and data modeling. Within data modeling,
the Business Information Modeler must be proficient in 3rd normal form
relational modeling. Dimensional modeling experience would be a strong
added value for online analytical processing.

Ø  This role must be experienced in group facilitation with participants
from diverse business functions and work skills. The Business Information
Modeler may be the Lead Consultant on a project.
