*Middleware Engineer* Jersey City, NJ 6+ Months... Only GC and Citizens F2F interview is required *JD:* Our client in North Jersey is currently seeking a Middleware Engineer expert to build, maintain and support the enterprise infrastructure and run environment for highly complex web applications. In addition to performing standard System Administrator duties, the selected engineer would also have the opportunity to assist in the development and implementation of an application provisioning solution (e.g. provisioning of application servers, deployment of code, etc.) for web applications. The candidate must have the ability to operate effectively under pressure and rapidly adapt to the changing requirements and environment of our development teams, provide excellent customers service, be accountable and honest, with long term commitment, loyalty and dedication to our business users. *Responsibilities:* • Responsibilities include: Install and configure Web and Applications servers of different flavors on Linux Operating System – WebSphere, Tomcat/Apache/JBoss; • Create shell scripts for task automation; • Analyze and sustain capacity and performance requirements; • Monitor systems and platforms for availability; • Configure failover solutions; • Install and test upgrades and patches; • Implement security and encryption; • Assist in the design, development and management of an automated build, release, and deployment processes; • Assist in investigation/design/development of solutions to limit/eliminate customer downtime during deployments; • Troubleshoot and problem solve both technical and non-technical issues. *Desired Skills and Experience:* • Must have minimum five years' experience serving as a full time administrator for Tomcat/Apache/JBoss or WebSphere servers in a large, complex and high volume Linux based environment • Scripting skills (e.g. shell, Python) is a must • Excellent skills in troubleshooting, performance turning and monitoring run-time environment • Experience working with SAS GRID is a Plus • Some familiarity with IBM Data power appliances *Email is the best way to reach me.* ISO 9001:2008 Certified WMBE Firm 1441 E.
