Kindly send across resume to *navdeep.si...@acsicorp.com <navdeep.si...@acsicorp.com>* Only VISA Copy and Passport Number Mandatory for Client Submission *Role*: Oracle DBA *Location*: Atlanta, GA or Minneapolis, MN *Duration*: 12 Months *Job Description:* - 8+ Years’ experience administering Oracle databases, running on Linux, Solaris, AIX or HPUX, Proven track record of building / administering databases in Oracle versions 10g and 11g, Proven track record of building / administering RAC environments, - Proven track record administering Oracle databases in a challenging environment, Strong experience with creating and administering Data Guard databases, Strong experience with Grid Control, RAC, ASM OEM, RMAN and other Oracle features / tools, - Experience building / administering databases in Oracle version 12c helpful, Experience with upgrading OEM from 11g to 13c helpful, Experience with running Oracle database on Virtual Machines (VMWare) helpful, - Experience in UNIX shell scripting to help in database administration tasks will be an advantage, Ability and willingness to follow established IT / DBA policies and procedures, Ability to provide technical direction to others, including application developers, - 4 year degree (BA or BS) or equivalent work experience in a related field of study *Responsibilities*: - Responsible for designing, implementing and supporting enterprise databases based on business area and infrastructure team requirements. - Translate a logical data model or user specifications into a physical design, Ensure the detailed physical design of data structures and database complies with enterprise build and configuration standards and processes, Coordinate with system engineers to configure servers for Oracle product installation and database creation. - Install, configure, and maintain Oracle software on database and application servers as required. - Create physical database structures based on physical design for development, test, and production environments. - Provide consultation to application development teams on Oracle database technical issues and techniques. - Responsible for database performance testing and tuning, user configuration, security and support processes including gather stats and database backup/recovery. - Coordinate downtime with application development teams and system engineers to implement approved changes. - Interface with Software Vendors to answer questions or resolve performance issues.
