Re: iUI users and developer's lists? (was Re: svn repository vs. joe hewitt's download
Sorry I've been neglecting iUI for so long. I would say that if there are people who would like to fork iUI, they have my blessing. I don't think I'll be able to put significant time into iUI in the near future and I don't want to block people who depend on the library for their projects. --~--~-~--~~~---~--~~ You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "iPhoneWebDev" group. iUI update
It doesn't change because you have elements that are wider than 320. I know this is annoying and hard to get right sometimes, but you'll have to style them in such a way that they adapt to the width of the window instead of being hard-coded to a particular size. --~--~-~--~~~---~--~~ You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "iPhoneWebDev" group. iUI update
Hey guys, sorry I've been AWOL for the last few weeks. My life has been upside down since I started working at Facebook, but I've continued to work on iUI and have some good new things coming down the pipeline. I've been reading all the threads here where people have complained about various deficiencies in iUI and I have solutions for many of them. The current iUI is little more than a proof of concept and holds up well only for sites that fit strictly into the iPod-style navigation with one list after another. The future iUI will support a lot more interface conventions. The challenge is not bloating the library, because size really does matter when it comes to mobile software. I don't have a timetable for a release right now, I just wanted to post something here so people don't think I've disappeared or abandoned iUI. Stay tuned... --~--~-~--~~~---~--~~ You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "iPhoneWebDev" group. Re: Props to Joe
That's pretty funny. I'm sure somebody at Apple is working hard to create an official iUI-like library so they can avoid having to refer their developers to a third party site. :) Whether or not Apple releases such a thing, iUI will continue. --~--~-~--~~~---~--~~ You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "iPhoneWebDev" group. Re: scrollTo for super-smooth animations
Yehuda is a genius - this technique makes a huge difference in the feel of clicking links. I've updated iUI with the smooth scrolling and it works fabulously, especially on complex pages that previously could barely get 1 frame of animation. There will be an upcoming iUI release in a week or so that includes this change - I have a bunch of other things I'm working on as well that I need to finish. --~--~-~--~~~---~--~~ You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "iPhoneWebDev" group.
