[IRCA] 1420 UNID
I wonder if anyone can help out with this - recorded on 1420 at 0700 UTC today. http://paulc.fileave.com/1420unid2.wav I have listened over and over to this clip and now think that the call is WVJS (Owensboro KY) However if it is then what follows (two locations?) doesn't make any sense. Any suggestions? (So far as I can find the station has no email address and the live link on their site doesn't work) Paul Troon, Scotland ___ IRCA mailing list IRCA@hard-core-dx.com http://montreal.kotalampi.com/mailman/listinfo/irca Opinions expressed in messages on this mailing list are those of the original contributors and do not necessarily reflect the opinion of the IRCA, its editors, publishing staff, or officers For more information: http://www.ircaonline.org To Post a message: irca@hard-core-dx.com

[IRCA] TP for 9 Mar from Victoria, BC
Another mostly normal morning here, though less strength than yesterday. Not too much listening time, 1425-1440UT, and might have started listening just as things began to fade. Earlier tomorrow, I guess. pretty darn good audio (all of it understandable by a native speaker, at least briefly): 594 JOAK 774 JOUB reasonable audio at times during the period (much of it understandable by a native speaker, though often battling w/splash or noise): 639 CNR-1 //4460 747 JOIB 828 JOBB 1566 HLAZ not so reasonable audio, occasional words or phrases in splash or noise could be understood by a native speaker 567 JOIK, //594 972 HLCA 1188 //594 at 1432, so JOKP 1503 JOUK //594 1575 likely VoA Burbles in the splatter and noise (if lucky, language might be guessed at by cadence of talk, or parallel established by changes in talk or music) : 873 seemed //774, so JOGB 1134, too much 1130 splatter to make much out 1179 JOOR?? 1287 presumed JOHR 1314 JOUF? 1476 woman talking seemed //774 at 1439UT; hard to hear the low band parallels by now, so I'll have to call it tentative1 kw JOSD most likely, and I wouldn't call that very likely even on the coast...
