Bandscan at 05:00 UTC sounds Auroral. Cuba dominating lower band, even dominating 550 KTRS, 570 is Cuban time ticker with very good audio, 590 is Cuban w/symphony music with very good signal. Cuba in 670 WSCR null w/strong signal, and there is rarely anyone there under WSCR, 700 WLW very weak, 740 Toronto very weak, normally arm chair copy, no 760 WJR, no 830 WCCO, no 1040 WHO.and more, Better southern CX than a week ago. At Burnt River ON have logged new catches in Progreso 730 and 750 close to midnight. Had a Sporting News Radio on 560 that gave an ID sounding very much like WQAM (Miami). I'll listen to the 560 recording again the cold light of day to ascertain if WQAM is indeed caught. I'm getting music that sounds like it's being played on a tape recorder when the tape is not running smoothly on 750 and 1040 (seems like different programming). I'm getting wobblers on 930 and some other channels. Think I'll be up late tonight. The winds have been downgraded a bit to 60 MPH gusts for coast cities 65-70 MPH for the beaches, but still strong enough, if that works out. But we are going to be dumped on with rain. They expect around 3 inches for today on the coast. 60-70 MPH wind gusts are strong but not damaging, but you never know if they will come in higher, but at this point the low is staying offshore a bit farther. I don't want to have to repair my antennas. [IRCA] WKVQ-1540 test heard in Colorado Springs, Colorado
WKVQ-1540 test heard here in Colorado Springs, CO on my GE Superadio and Select-A-Tenna with code ID's at 11:03, 11:21 and 11:29 PM, MST. 2nd test was stronger with code ID at 12:00 AM pretty clear.
