At Burnt River ON have logged new catches in Progreso 730 and 750 close to

much like WQAM (Miami). I'll listen to the 560 recording again the cold

I'm getting music that sounds like it's being played on a tape recorder

[IRCA] Good Southern CX

2011-03-13 Thread amdxer

Bandscan at 05:00 UTC sounds Auroral.

Cuba dominating
lower band, even dominating 550 KTRS, 570 is Cuban time ticker with
very good audio, 590 is Cuban w/symphony music with very good
signal.

Cuba in 670 WSCR null w/strong signal,  and
there is rarely anyone there under WSCR, 700 WLW very weak, 740
Toronto very weak, normally arm chair copy, no 760 WJR,
no 830 WCCO, no 1040 WHO.and more,

Better southern CX than a week ago.

Re: [IRCA] WKVQ Test

2011-03-13 Thread Patrick Martin
The winds have been downgraded a bit to 60 MPH gusts for coast cities
65-70 MPH for the beaches, but still strong enough, if that works out.
But we are going to be dumped on with rain. They expect around 3 inches
for today on the coast. 60-70 MPH wind gusts are strong but not
damaging, but you never know if they will come in higher, but at this
point the low is staying offshore a bit farther. I don't want to have to
repair my antennas.
