Don't know if they have PSSA but if so it'd be just a few watts, methinks

I know it SAYS watts on the link, but it HAS to mean kilowatts. Let's
look at this reasonably -- the combined area of Casper-Evansville is 31.1
square miles. 2 watts, or even 3, at night will NOT cover that in
anyone's wildest dreams. Why would KUYO be on the air with a peanut
power like that if most of the Casper metro wouldn't even be able to hear
it at that hour? My guess is that 3 kw and 2 kw are correct.

Re: [IRCA] 830 at 8:00

2012-03-27 Thread Paul B. Walker, Jr.
Actually Rick, Im betting it is 2 and 3 watts.

I've reviewed PSSA and PSRA data and it is usually listed as XXX.XX Watts
so 3.2 Would be 3.2 Watts.

Who said they had to use it?

That being said, stations with night power whos night power is higher then
their PSSA can use the night power instead of PSSA power

PSSA and PSRA power is usually never more then 500W... I worked at one
station where Pre Sunrise was 500W.. Post Sunset was 12 watts.

[IRCA] Signals on Sixteen Ten

2012-03-27 Thread bill kral
With this frequency devoid of digital buzz tonight I'm hearing a couple of
signals on 1610 and although barely audible with the current equipment and in
this location it sounds like I'm probably getting the only two available
stations operating here but since the nearer one does a talk format I did hear
a very faint musical source under or behind the talk so I guess I got both
Toronto and Montreal brieflybut since it's too faint to make out anything
intelligable I'll assume that I heard CHHA and CJWI . Bill in BC
