[IRCA] Puyallup, WA Ultralight TP's for 2-4
Hello All, Asian conditions seemed to take a downhill slide this morning, with only limited action on the low band starting around 1500. There weren't very many vibrant signals, and even those didn't stick around for long. At my 1430 start time the band sounded practically comatose, with only a few weak carriers on 594, 603 and 1566. Signals didn't improve much until 594-JOAK rose out of the noise with a few fair to good peaks around 1500, followed by 603 (presumed HLSA) in and out with poor-level pop music. Unlike yesterday 1566-HLAZ had no monster fade in, and struggled to stay in audio for most of sunrise enhancement. The collection of anemic Asians bailed early around 1520, failing to get any decent sunrise enhancement boost. Such was the story of a pretty mediocre morning. 594 JOAK Tokyo, Japan NHK news at a fair level with Japanese male announcer at 1503 http://www.mediafire.com/listen/59k2f0nphc78597/594-JOAK-1503z020415CCSW.MP3 73 and Good DX, Gary DeBock (in Puyallup, WA, USA) 7.5 loopstick C.Crane Skywave Ultralight + 15 FSL antenna (For anyone interested, a recording of yesterday's thunderous fade-in by 1566-HLAZ from 1515-1522 here yesterday is linked below) http://www.mediafire.com/listen/2pp9ro52cbat3cw/1566-HLAZ-1515z020315CCSW.mp3 ___ IRCA mailing list IRCA@hard-core-dx.com http://montreal.kotalampi.com/mailman/listinfo/irca Opinions expressed in messages on this mailing list are those of the original contributors and do not necessarily reflect the opinion of the IRCA, its editors, publishing staff, or officers For more information: http://www.ircaonline.org To Post a message: irca@hard-core-dx.com

Where I used to live, Korea 1566 was rarely audible... only 4 km away -- now it is often the loudest TP on the band. Odd what a few miles in geography can do. [IRCA] KSPA
Thanks to Dennis Gibson for this tip. Astor Groups KSPA 1510 Ontario is now country music aka KICK AM. Kind of a throwback to KIKF kick FM in Orange County which we all toured during the 1997 IRCA Convention. Legal ID still says KSPA. Seems they have retained at least one show from their former financial format. Your Money Talks is still heard on Saturday mornings. Also, KFSD 1450 in Escondido (San Diego) is said to be Country Cow now which is a throwback to the old KOWA which I verified several years ago. Nice to hear more music on AM now. Current songs as opposed to classic country. Nice catch on KCAA. That was one if the stations briefly toured during the 2005 IRCA Convention. A few short decades back the 1050 allocation in Southern California belonged to KBBV in Big Bear Lake. Re: [IRCA] KSFN address?
After I posted this I noticed that I mistyped the email and left off the inc portion so that's why it bounced. Sending the report to the address on the EDI website. 1773 W. My report to the NRC log address was just returned with a post-it note saying it's an incorrect address. So someone opened the letter and returned it. Make a note in your NRC logs.
