[IRCA] Realistic TRF 12-675 on eBay

2016-07-25 Thread Steve Francis via IRCA
--- Begin Message ---
eBay item number 191919523655

Seller betrays no knowledge of its legendary reputation

It's in really bad shape cosmetically - enlarge all ten pictures

He says USPS only to U.S. addresses only and no returns

Set sale of $22 plus shipping

He has 1,950 transactions and 100% satisfaction

I don't know the guy but do know the receiver and thought this was worth
passing on.

2016-07-25 Thread Paul B. Walker, Jr.
Well, my mention of WLISif this station relaying WAAF is a pirate,
theyre either close to you.. or a bit further a field and running some
modest power.. either way, theyd be a bit close to WLIS one would think?

Can anyone check and make sure 1440 in Worcester didn't drift 20khz down
the dial? LOL

Somewhat more subdued than yesterday -

Tahiti - 738khz now seemingly the station that sets the bar - at modest

easily audible and in the clear but not quite with yesterdays oomph.

Carriers and rumours of audio on 702, 756, 828 and 1098.

Nothing else heard in my quick band scan.

Hi Bill:

Thanks for the reminder a few weeks ago. I will unfortunately will not
be able to come. Hope who make it will have a great time! Please keep me

The 23rd Annual Madison-Milwaukee Get-together for DXers and Radio

Saturday, August 20 from 1:00 to 9:30 PM. Bill Dvorak and Mark Taylor
are the co-hosts. The location will be in Lake Farm County Park in Madison
WI.

This all-band event has for many years been a popular destination for Upper
Midwest (and even farther environs) DXers. Each year we have between 30 and
40 DXers participate in this event, and this year will be no exception. The
gathering itself is very informal, and you are invited to stay all day or
only those parts of the day that are convenient to you (come when you can
and leave when you must).

Here's what's planned for this year: Attendees can expect an afternoon of
good fellowship and lots of DX talk in an informal atmosphere. There are
opportunities to DX during the event, and a few informal demonstrations are
being lined up. Dinner is being catered in the park. After dinner will be a
short program and door prizes, then more camaraderie until 9:30's "byes"
and "see-you-next-years."
