[IRCA] TP DX in Seattle 10-19-17

2017-10-19 Thread Bruce Portzer
Conditions were down quite a bit today with just a couple of TP's
producing any reasonable amount of audio.

774    JAPAN, JOUB, poor w/bits of talk in domestic splatter 1331

972    S KOREA, HLCA, briefly good 1339 w/the usual discussions in
Korean.  Still fair w/music 1359, but signal took a dive at the ToH

1566    S KOREA HLAZ, forceful preaching 1324 mostly fair, sometimes good

Re: [IRCA] WMKM in the log

2017-10-19 Thread Paul B. Walker, Jr.
I am about smack between two 1400's WJET Erie is 51 miles to my
Northwest, WKBI Saint Marys is 41 miles to my southeast.. but if I hear
anything identifiable on 1400, it's WJET Erie.. I think partly because
of the terrain, the national forest between me and WKBI, plus WKBI's tower
is down in a bowl.

I've yet to hear WKBi, a former employer of mine, here in Warren PA
