[IRCA] Cruise ship dxing
I will be going on a southern Caribbean cruise soon.I plan to take along a newly acquired C.Crane Skywave SSB,a Grundig 2 and possibly a Tecsun PL-380 to do some dxing onboard.Our room has a balcony which.might be good to dx from.Has anyone in the group done any cruise ship dxing ? I met John once near my home town of Ponca City,Oklahoma.I talked to him via phone and email a number of times afterward.I cannot say I knew John well but from his writing,it felt like I did.He really put himself into His writing and his enthusiasm for the hobby was perhaps exceeded by none.I had moved here to TN when I heard the unfortunate news above his tragic death.He is missed.RIP,John. What differences have those in eastern North America noticed between propagation on the 540-1120KHz segment and the 1120-1700 KHz segment over the years ? Does the lower half or upper half of the band seem better especially for foreign dx or have you noticed a difference ? [IRCA] E-100 mixing product
Hi,all: I also have a mixing product with my E-100 during the day which is 910 KHz down from semi-local WBCR ,Alcoa ,Tn.The mixing product is on 560 KHz .It does not seem to be there at night. I have not tried one of my passive loops on the mixing product to see if it would vanish.I think it probably will though.
