[IRCA] TP 17 Jun Victoria version

2017-06-18 Thread Nick Hall-Patch

Hints of islands and New Zealand only this morning.

pretty darn good audio (all of it understandable by a native speaker,
at least briefly):

no

Reasonable audio at times during the period (much of it
understandable by a native speaker, though often battling w/splash or noise):

no

not so reasonable audio, occasional words or phrases in splash or
noise could be understood by a native speaker:

no

Burbles in the splatter and noise (if lucky, language might be
guessed at by cadence of talk, or parallel established by changes in
talk or music)

756 although there was an island sounding steel guitar solo, most of
the music had a jazzy 20s sound with clarinets and such like, 1212UT
1017 man mumbling after slow islandish sounding music, 1129UT,
Tonga? (strong carrier quite weak audio)

Strongish het, no or "near imaginary" audio (either undermodulated or
ravaged by splatter)

nothing seemed to be Asian;
702 882 963 1098 seemed to be DU

best wishes,

Nick

So far, no audio to the West Coast of NA from Hawaii --
Have not braved the morning shift yet -- afraid to discover it is as bad as
the evening - no serious noise issues this time around -- just Hawaii,
Samoa and Tahiti - very little sign or Tonga or the Marshalls.
