An up and down morning from my QTH perhaps 5 km from Colin's home. The
winner this morning was 702 2BL Sydney which gave pretty consistent good
reception from 13:48 UTC, and superior to 4QR Brisbane on 612. Otherwise,
it was a mixture of DU and Asian signals, and mostly the bottom half of the
band. Nothing really strong, and splatter was higher than average this
morning. Here's a partial list:
530: WPVW 624 Anacortes at very good reception with simply an ID loop.
529 could be heard earlier, while 531 came up after 14:00
594: JJ at fair level
738: fairly strong, most likely Tahiti, but simply too much 730 Vancouver
splatter to make anything out.
774: JOUB Very good at 13:50 and again at 14:31. Latter time with
English lesson.
792: 4RN with weak fanfare at 14:00
Signs of life, but weak or no audio: 837, 1503, 1512, 1584, 1575, 1476,
963, 972
1566: weakly there at 14:10, and pretty sure it was Australia rather than
HLAZ.
