[IRCA] 1450 unID sounds like WKVR

2014-03-31 Thread Chernos Saul
Curious if anyone can set me straight on calls which surface twice - once in
each clip - and a few local references.

1450 – Clip A has a mention of a town right of the bat, and at 0:15 what
sounds like “downtown Newtonville”, and then a set of calls at 0:30. Clip B has
an ID sounding like WKVR at 0:39.

Online at:

http://forums.wtfda.org/showthread.php?8759

Thank you to anyone with good ears out there...

[IRCA] 1450 unid

2009-05-13 Thread Russ Edmunds

I've posted a recent 1450 unid at the link below. This is on the WTFDA Forums,
anyone can listen to it, but only those with an ID and password there can
respond there. Otherwise a response on these lists is fine.

[IRCA] 1450 unID is WATZ foe certain

2009-01-23 Thread Chernos Saul
The WATZ call letters stood out clear as a bell, well ahead of anything else
on the tape. I didn't even have my ear near the computer speaker and it was
plain as day. Nice logging that one from across the pond, Paul (C).

I listened to it again, and about all I can make out is the "AM" part at
the

end.. I *personally* don't hear any full set of call letters mentioned or
the slogan, ""Northeast Michigan's news and information, this is WATZ AM" no
matter how many times I listen.
I believe y'all when you said that's what's there, I just don't hear it.

I'm almost certain that this is WATZ in Alpena MI. Hope that agrees

Thanks Barry and everyone else who listened.

My interpretation was "North Eastern Michigan's news and information
station, this is WATZ AM" !!!

Additionally the station goes to ABC news which WATZ runs.

Paul
