[IRCA] 2011 IRCA Convention Announcement
Greetings. Due to unforeseen circumstances Bob Wien and I will be essentially swapping host and co-host duties at this years IRCA convention in Colorado Springs. Dates, times, locations, and events all remain unchanged. Registrations and $30 fee should be sent and made payable to Mike Sanburn p.o. box 1256 Bellflower CA 90707-1256. I've hosted a few club conventions in the past and 'will try to make this a pleasant event. Bob has laid out much of the groundwork for this convention including station tours et al and it promises to be productive weekend. Official announcement will appear in an upcoming DX Monitor. Phil Bytheway will be helping me with some of the logistics and we have an awesome banquet planned! I'm looking forward to the event myself. [IRCA] 2011 IRCA Convention
Greetings! Some more initial information on the IRCA Convention commencing on June 23rd. The local convention and tourism bureau has a fantastic website containing links to EVERYTHING you ever wanted to know about Colorado Springs! The site is at www.visitcos.com A real easy one to remember but you may wish to write it down anyhow. According to the site, it's 35 degrees right now in town but the wx will be very comfortable by late June. Everybody is invited to what should be a fine event. More info will be forthcoming. Well It looks like it's official now, the 2011 IRCA convention will be held in Colorado Springs CO Thursday June 23 through Sunday 26 checkout. Our hotel location is Airport Value Inn Suites, 6875 Space Village Avenue, Colorado Springs CO 80915. (View online at www.airportvalueinn.com ) Phone number for reservations and inquiries is 719-596-5588.Special convention guest room rate will be $69 per night, mention IRCA convention and host Bob Wien. I will be playing co-host. Bob has set up a special address to accept registrations of $30 per person, and any auction item donations etc...It is Robert Wien, #106, 2910 North Powers Blvd. Colorado Springs CO 80922-2801. We're planning the usual station tours on Friday, tower photo ops, business meeting, banquet, and auction on Saturday. We'll have much more information as it becomes available.
