Airnav.com shows ZLS is actually on 526 kHz and is located on Long Island, Bahamas. Power is listed as 500 watts. Even though it is in the Bahamas it is owned by the USCG. Hi Karl, ZLS is a powerhouse, easily heard all across North America, at least to the west coast. There's always 520 BHZ from Belo Horizonte, Brazil to try for! I hear it here in Memphis quite regularly, and suspect it is pretty much heard quite widely across the hemisphere. I agree - quite fun to hear, and more entertaining than Reloj at times!
