Occasionally, KNBR will be quite weak here in winter just after sunset, and I can hear a US station playing easy listening mx, but have never gotten an ID. Loops ESE. Any ideas who this might be? Greetings everyone, A nice report of DX on 680 when KNBR was off, from Richard Toebe, who was lucky to catch them off. Great going. PAN AMERICAN DX ROUNDUP 680 MEXICO, Chilpancingo, Gto, XECHG? 11/8 1220-on presumed with smooth Jazz instrumentals "Ciento Siete" (107) IDs by male between songs. Guess this station based on Cantu's list which shows XECHG with a //FM on 107.1, but lists "Ke-Buena" slogan. Never heard any slogan, just the 107 IDs. This was the most consistent signal, but occasionally faded. KNBR off. (RT-CA) 680 MEXICO, Guasave, Sin. XEORO 11/8 1300+ "Equis Eh Oro" ID by male just past the top of the hour, into detailed station information (signing on?) Lost to KNBR at 1320. (RT-CA) 680 MEXICO, Hermosillo, Son XESON? 11/8 1245 "Grupo ACIR" ID rose out of the jumble. Guess this based on info from ACIR website. Mexican NA heard a few minutes later, could have been anyone. (RT-CA) TRANS PACIFIC DX ROUNDUP 279 RUSSIA, 1058 11/9 fair with music then RR talk. (DV-WA) 558 JAPAN, Kobe JOCR 1422 11/9 weak with man in JJ. (DV-WA) 594 JAPAN Tokyo JOAK NHK 1 1059 11/9, good man in JJ. Pips at 1100, through man talking in JJ. (DV-WA) 648 RUSSIA, 1101 11/9 fair with woman in KK. Good signal, talk show with mentions of US Presidential candidates. KJR heard underneath XEKAM signal.
