[IRCA] KBRW-680 QSL
Yesterday, I received a QSL from a long sought DX target. KBRW sent a friendly e-mail reply to e-mail report + audio file in less than a day. V/s Mike Lane, GM said he tried DXing when he first arrived in Barrow 30+ years ago, but the only station he could regularly hear was WLW (in addition to unid Asians). Bruce, Congrats! I am glad they are still DXer friendly. I got a verie letter last year. They are a toughie to log. If it wasn't for KNBR, I am sure KBRW would be more common. I spent quite a few years trying to hear them before I finally did (on Dec 31st, 2007 of all days!), and then not again until this time up in Masset last weekend, and over several days too. Perhaps it's getting a little easier for us to hear. I've had a few tentative loggings in Grayland as well, with there long bouts of NPR programming, but no IDs. Still, always a great catch from the lower 48. Funny how it's considered a nuisance in Scandinavia, though!
