Re: [IRCA] Oklahoma TP DX 9/17/16
--- Begin Message --- Well, I finally heard something Richard didn`t, on my mere DX-398 and ferrite loopstick: 774 from the NW (NHK) JBA carrier definitely made it as far as Enid at 1140, when I could also detect a carrier on 693. At 1154, 774 and 828 carriers. 73, Glenn Hauser, out west from Perry On 9/17/2016 6:26 AM, Richard N Allen wrote: > What a difference a day make! Evidently the TPs weren't traveling over land as well this morning. My disadvantage is only about 600 miles, but things were way down on yesterday's exceptional morning. 73, Nigel Pimblett Dunmore, AB On 9/17/2016 6:26 AM, Richard N Allen wrote: What a difference a day make! I have about a 1500-mile over land disadvantage here. Sometime in the future I'd like to experience DX along the Pacific coast. Richard. Re: [IRCA] Oklahoma TP DX 9/17/16
Richard, I got up at 12:30 UTC to listen, and, for me at least, things are hopping. Solid Asian opening, with the first tier channels yielding very nice audio. Having said that 1116 4BC is also giving decent reception. Unfortunately, I wasn't at the dials yesterday AM, having gotten home at 5:00 AM after an all-nighter delivering babies, so I can't compare the two. Nick's Fishbarrel is pretty impressive, too! 73,...Walt On Sat, Sep 17, 2016 at 12:26 PM, Richard N Allen wrote: > What a difference a day make! What a difference a day make! I listened from about 1000 to 1215 UTC (LSR) and there wasn't a trace of a TP or DU signal here this morning. I hope the folks out west have a better morning.
