[IRCA] Question About Return Postage for Canada

2009-11-10 Thread J.D. Stephens
Today, I received a QSL letter from a Canadian COast Guard station, and he
returned the mist Canadian stamps I included for return postage with a note
that said "These stamps are only good if used in the USA".

What's that all about? These were ordered only a couple weeks ago from DX
Stamp Service, so I would presume they're still "good".

Thanx and 73,

Perhaps they could not imagine an American having access to Canadian stamps,
and did not look closely at them? And/or they have received too many reports
from Americans with American stamps. 73, Glenn Hauser

Thanx and 73,

First Class Postage from Canada to the USA is 98 cents (up to 30
grams, ca 1 ounce).

All postage stamps ever issued by Canada Post are still valid for
postage.

Yesthat would be my guess too JD...they most likely just assumed
that you sent Postage Stamps from the USA..since that is where you are
located!! They should have looked at them a little more closely!!
