1575 The Ayotollah's Buzzah is back.  It was heard for a short period
this morning 1535-1555UT, and stronger this evening, 0030UT, even
audible with my own latest intermittent noise maker adding another
7-10dB to the noise floor.

Otherwise, weak carriers on 1386, 855 and suchlike; 1278.006 could be
Iran again...

best wishes,

Nick

1410 is fairly strong here, and the north Flag is
pointing at it. Quite possibly the carrier is
there, and I'm not catching it amid the splash. I'll keep an ear out for it.

I had a decent carrier there at about 0300-0310. I think I might have
had audio that almost kinda sorta matched the Absolute Radio webstream.
More likely, it was wishful thinking and/or an overactive imagination on
my part.

The earliest I remembered to check was 0305 utc and 783 had traces of audio,
with 1008 a strong het; nothing else found on MW. 20 minutes later the hets
were gone. A little while ago, 0653 utc, 162 with France Inter, 189 had
Iceland mixing with Rossii and 198 with BBC, and no hets at all on MW.

2011-10-11 Thread Walter Salmaniw
Nick, I can't see that, of course on the Perseus, but I thought that I *almost
*had audio on the 7030+, but not even close on the Perseus. The best I can
make out, if the Perseus is aligned properly is a strong carrier on
1215.000, a ratty one (probably several) on 1214.999, another on 1214.997,
and finally one on 1215.995. The first measures -111.9 dBm, while the
others are in the -135 to -144 dBm range. I think I just about have audio
at 06:12 UTC, which is getting close to dawn in the UK. Glad to see that
there is some life in my N corner fed loop, as it's been used precious
little this year so farWalt
