This was around 1964 when all we had was the BBC top twenty show for a couple
of hours A WEEK!

Barry:

Wasn't 208 Radio Luxemburg on at that time? I know I used to listen to it when
I was much younger than I am today. What I can't remember was when I listened
to it.

Right. But what years did I listen to it is what I'm having the problem
with?

Hello Tom
The pop pirates came shortly after my logs BUT where not as slick as
stations like wmex and wins. I certainly don't recall pop pirates announcing
their records in rhyme! Even after all these years I still recall Mad Daddy on
wins say Mad Daddy chasing your Monday blues and scoobie do's... what ever
they were hi!

Didn't you have Radio Caroline and other offshore stations or
did they come later?

What was the very high power top forty station in Europe back
in the sixties, was that Radio Veronica?

My old memory isn't doing so well at recalling much from
those days.

When I was in Iceland 1955-56 the favorite pop music station was Radio
Luxembourg...on 1439 at the time (I think)Of course there was also
the local 250 watt AFRS station-TFK 1484-from Keflavik. They played
lots of pop/rock too. Rock was just getting started then, lots of Elvis
:-) .
